I would like to make this site a useful stop for EE users to find templates, CSS/HTML tutorials and tips, and anything else along those lines. I do not really want to make it an EE “how-to” site since there are several great sites that do that already. Rather, I would like to focus on design, with some EE info where applicable, such as tips on how to better handle permalinks, or how to use embedded templates. However, user feedback is really important and will drive what this site becomes and what kind of content folks would like to see.
I encourage you to consider contributing a template, tutorial, little tip, or anything else that you think would be helpful. Until I get a better system in place (perhaps a form-based submission that allows attachments), here is how to submit content:
- If you are submitting a template, please send me a zip file with three items in it:
- A folder containing the templates and, preferably, a README text file with installation instructions. I would encourage you to consider packaging the templates so they can be used in EE’s Template Library. See Chris Curtis’ post here for more information. Packaging the templates in the manner described should make it very easy for someone to drop them into their EE installation.
- A screenshot of the template up and running, and
- A description of the template, preferably both in paragraph form (which will form the bulk of the posted entry) and keywords, such as “minimal,” “with images,” “dark” etc. I will add categories along the way.
- If you are submitting an article, tutorial, or tip, please send it in a plain-text file.
- Email the zip file or text file to
Please limit your screenshots to under 50kb. I will not be installing each template so I will not be able to take a screenshot. If you would like a screenshot of your template when it is posted, please submit one.
Also, I want to make sure that there is a credit for each submission to the person who submitted it, so please be sure to give me an email or URL link that you would like me to use. Finally, all submissions will be redistributed through this site under a Creative Commons License.
Thank you very much! Your submissions are critical to the success of this site and are really appreciated.
